trust... : )

today my parents said to me, "pam we trust you". :)

i thought that was very heartwarming... to know your parents trust you. they said this when they asked me how much i'd need in london and i came up with an estimate figure... then i asked them if they needed to know how i came about that figure. maths has never been my forte though. :P i asked them what they thought about certain things and they simply answered with "pam we trust you and your judgement".

i realised recently how important trust is. with trust many things can proceed smoothly as there is no doubt and suspicion. i value being trusted and not having to explain things though often i'd still explain anyway. how can one be trusted? i don't think it happens overnight... and neither does it happen by a single action to prove one's trustworthiness... but it's something built upon over years and over a lifetime... bit by bit... :)
